Capdell’s Novecento sets the scene on the terrace of the new building of the Opera in Bjørvika, Oslo.
Emerging from the sea in the centre of Oslo, the recently built Opera is the new futurist building of the Norwegian capital. The construction has been inspired by an ice floe that emerges from the sea and it is characterised by its surface covered in marble and an enormous crystal front with solar panels.
The European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award 2009 has been awarded to The Norwegian Opera & Ballet, Oslo by Kjetil Trædal Thorsen, Tarald Lundevall, Craig Dykers / Snøhetta.
Novecento is the most romantic armchair from Capdell, conceived from a perspective based on classic shapes. As an attractive reflection of the multiple possibilities that polypropylene offers, it fits perfectly on the terrace on the opera.
Novecento is currently in stock at UFL Group. Click here for more information.
